WELCOME!
Welcome! UPVKC is an all-breed kennel club based in Cumberland, MD. We have members throughout the surrounding tri-state area. Our club houses a wide variety of dog lovers, many with their own beloved furry friends and some who enjoy the community and experience of the 'dog world'! As a club, we host multiple American Kennel Club sanctioned events throughout the year; offer a variety of classes and dog-related programs; and help bring our local dog community together! You do not need to have a purebred dog to enjoy dog sports or its community - we love ALL dogs and we want them ALL to have fulfilling, memorable lives! Dogs are not our whole lives, but they truly make our lives whole.

1956 | Our show was held at the National Guard Armory in Frostburg, MD on the second Saturday of September. | |
1956-1986 | Ms. Jessie Smith served as Show Chairman. | |
1957-1958 | Our show was held at the National Guard Armory in Frostburg, MD on the first Saturday of September. | |
1959-1967 | Our show was held at the National Guard Armory in Frostburg, MD on the third Saturday of May. | |
1968-1969 | Our show was held at the National Guard Armory in Frostburg, MD on the second Saturday of September. | |
1970-1978 | Our show was held at the Cumberland Fairgrounds (now known as the Allegany County Fairgrounds) on the last week of June. | |
1975 | In December, UPVKC became incorporated | |

1988 | The Fairgrounds declined to host our annual show and the show was moved to Frostburg State University.
